  1.     TURBOSTATS          General Information

  5. 1.  If TURBOSTATS cannot find a file then you may have run out of
  6.     file-handles.  Make sure that you have a config.sys file with
  7.     the following lines in it :
  8.         BUFFERS=15
  9.         FILES=20
  10.  
  11. 2.  DO ENSURE that in your data and label files that you
  12.    
  13.      - have no blank lines at the beginning or end of the file
  14.        (remove with CTRL-Y if you have a WordStar type editor)
  15.  
  16.     -  terminate each character with a CR/LF pair (by pressing
  17.        ENTER at the end of each line)
  18.  
  19.    If files 'lock up' after entry into the computer, it is a 99.9%
  20.    probability that the cause is due to stray blank lines and/or the
  21.    absence of CR/LF pairs.
